Effective People Know Who They Are

2 Chronicles 7:14 (New International Version) - If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 begins with if my people and God declares that if the people of God are going to be effective in the earth, they must know who they are. Our land America needs healing because of how bad things have gotten and the White house or Government can’t fix it, Money can’t fix it. The healing of our land begins with the people of God knowing who they truly are. God’s people are humble people: Humility is not being a door mat for others to walk on, but it is strength under control, meaning a person submits to God’s word and depends on him to lift them up instead of them trying to lift themselves. We live in a world where it seems every person is out for themselves no matter who it hurts or disappoints. Effort is self - motivated to accomplish and succeed where and when only God can, but God promises to exalt the person who humbles themselves. This is proof of trust by God exalting a person placing them on the right path and establishing their going (Psalm 40) because effectiveness in the earth is being at the right place at the right time. People who know who they are will make sure they are in the right place doing what God wants them to do. God’s people are obedient: One of the characteristics of belonging to God is obedience. Isaiah 1:19 declares that if you be willing and obedient then you shall eat the good of the land. Good fruit can only come from a good tree (Matthew 7:18; Luke 6:43). Many people partake of what is not good for them because there is no good in them so one must be changed from the inside out (2 Corinthians 5:17; John 3:3). People who know who they are partake of the good things that God has prepared for them that love him because he reveals what is and is not good for them (1 Corinthians 2:9). Fruitfulness or productiveness is predicated upon doing what God says to do when he says to do it because he will then empower the instruction to be effective. He never would have required something to be done if he were not going to enable it to be done because there are some things that human flesh cannot do apart from God and his power. Fruitfulness is not just something working effectively because even those who care nothing about God have success, but only God enables Good success (Joshua 1:8). God employs fruitfulness to bring other things in line and in order with a specific instruction so others can also be benefited and blessed. The principle of fruitfulness Gen.1:28 was not just limited to Adam and Eve but was also to span throughout generations even to where we are in society today. Fruitfulness not only produces but must also provide for what is produced to keep it going. When a child is born that is a blessing, but the child must also be provided for protected and preserved which are the ongoing responsibilities intrinsically placed by God into fruitfulness and productivity. People who know who they are, become fruitful people who effect the land within their circle of influence to bring this land back to God’s intended purpose.
